Initially starting as a pipefitter fabricator at the large St. Ivel Creamery in Wootton Bassett I progressed to being site manager on a £2.4m major project for Silkeborg at what at the time was the largest ice cream facility in the world, the Phoenix Project at Unilever's Walls ice cream factory in Gloucester. From there in 1887 I went on to manage on a large brewery extension for the Watney Mann Brewery in Mortlate, London.

Too many to itemise I have worked in the nuclear industry with Capper Pipe Services on their pond water filtration projects at Hinkley Point B Station and Oldbury Nuclear power stations.Also for John Thomson Boilers Limited (Clark Chapman) on the building of Hinkley Point B Station.Also with Capper Pipe Services I have worked on petrochemicals projects at the Texaco Refinery in Milford Haven and the large BP Baglan Bay Refinery in South Wales.Worked as a pipefitter/fabricator for the American company Kellogg on a major natural gas plant in Skida, Algeria which was the second largest natural gas plant in the world.

Apprenticed to Shaw Petrie Limited an Anglo American company in their Parnell Road, Fishponds, Bristol fabrication facility. The last project I worked on was complete sugar refinery pipework fabrication that was exported to Pakistan. It included 48" pre-fabricated pipe spools in mild steel.
