London Borough of Sutton Employee of the Year 2013/14.Winner of Outstanding Projects 2013/14 for Welfare Reform Outreach.I have Worked within the London Borough of Sutton's Revenues and Benefits department for 14 years. During this time I have been involved in and lead many projects including: Welfare Reform core groups, Landlord forums, Welfare Benefits parent groups, Children Centre and Primary School workshops and resident open days.My team has helped improve the lives of many of Sutton's most vulnerable residents and provided support to families and individuals affected by the Government's reforms.Throughout my career, I have gained extensive working experience in the field of Vulnerable Households, Welfare Benefits and Crisis Management, particularly focusing on early intervention, poverty reduction, and family services. I am passionate about my work and deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people and families in need. One of my greatest strengths is clear communication, both written and verbal, which has been essential in my role of stakeholder management and team leadership. My interpersonal skills have allowed me to effectively negotiate and collaborate with various partners, such as parents, community members, and other service providers, to ensure the best outcomes for those I work with. In addition to my management and leadership skills, I have a background in casework and crisis intervention, handling complex situations with empathy and professionalism. I believe in the importance of a holistic approach to adult & child welfare and poverty reduction, and I have utilised empathic design principles to create effective and sustainable solutions for those in need. In all of my roles, I have prioritised teamwork, recognising the value of collaboration in achieving positive change. I have also been involved in organising and managing events to raise awareness and support for important social causes. Overall, my diverse experience and skills make me a well-rounded and dedicated professional in the Welfare Benefits field. I am committed to continuing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
