I am a jack of all trades chemical engineer, with a passion for learning that truly believes "A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives." - Jackie Robinson.I have nearly 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas, doing various jobs from overpressure analysis and protection, to software development of tools for customers to optimize lubes and dewaxing units, to Aspen PIMS linear programming optimization for operations and economics. Additionally, I have over a year of experience in solutions engineering spanning seven industries including O&G, Water and Wastewater, Power and Energy, Chemical, Life Sciences, and more.Outside of base responsibilities, I am always looking to improve upon processes. I have been the recipient of multiple rewards for development of tools in Python that allow for P&ID revision checking, Management of Change aggregation, and even pivoting the InFocus tool to allow for real-time remote startups of MIDW/MDSW chemical reactors during COVID-19 when travel was not advised. I always strive for the highest standards and quality in my work, and love to learn from others and work with folks towards a common goal. Let's work together to solve unknow problems, and change the world for the better.

Solutions EngineerEndress+Hauser Group Mar 2023 - PresentPearland, Texas, United StatesDesigned and engineered tailored process solutions to support customers across multiple industries — life science, power & energy, water/wastewater, oil & gas, chemicals, and food & beverage. Specialized in integrating E+H instrumentation with third-party components and fabricators for projects ranging $30,000 to $2MM. Lead engineer for first dense/supercritical phase carbon capture metering skids purchased from E+H.• Led internal custody transfer metering skid design team of 3-5 members with a focus on providing safe solutions that adhere to engineering and metrological standards such as API MPMS, AGA, ASME, OIML, and ISO.• Validated internal design tools for use in Hydrogen, Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage, and LNG industries with NIST data.• Developed solution proposals with E+H sales teams and diverse clients, from site engineers to EPCs, integrating technical requirements and budget/profit considerations. Proposals included value propositions and descriptions, PFDs, P&IDs, and detailed analysis for control/relief valve sizing and hydraulics. -
Optimization EngineerExxonmobil Oct 2021 - Nov 2022Houston, Texas, United StatesServed as single point of contact for 25+ site and global economists as well as economic process modelers across 8 sites in the US and Canada. Upgraded crude and products pricing system, using IBM TM1 to centralize data repository for weekly operational decision making and forecasting based on crude oil assays produced in cooperation with raw material characterization group.– Improved the overall performance of the ShiftTool by performing a major coderefactor in which less performant code was updated to be in line with Python PEP 8 standards.Roughly 1000 lines of code were reviewed, with two major bugs fixed, allowing for new releases to takeplace.– Explored and tested various methods for extracting metrics on token usage from Aspen log (250k + records) files using data science techniques through the Pandas library in Python. Evaluating the data and methodology with the team allowed for alignment on the most efficient way to extract data to get the needed metrics to curtain excessive token usage, which allowed for reduction in the need for paid tokens (15%), saving an estimated $5M.– Coded a medium sized repository (~1500 lines) to assist in creation of assay files for PIMS models, while also featuring numerous data quality checks and pass/fail conditions. The tool greatly reduces errors and time spent (~80% reduction) preparing the assay files as generated by Spiral by automatically copying lube property data between old assays and new reference assays. Allowing for assay files to be generated within 30 minutes so that they may be passed to testing more expediently. C -
Technical Services AnalystExxonmobil Apr 2020 - Sep 2021Supported early-stage product development of lube optimization model and dewaxing unit monitoring platform for 3rd party licensees of ExxonMobil Chemical Company catalyst. Lead in-house technical support for the InFocus platform to customers, and in-house catalyst specialists. Collaborated with 3rd-party software developers to improve platform reliability and implement new features to meet customer needs. - Provide technical support for day-to-day operations of the InFocus platform, such as repairing data streams, providing support to EMRE catalyst specialists, and bug reporting-Proactively identified an opportunity to improve upon the InFocus operations team's ability to effectively monitor customer accounts with a scalable solution through the application of Python. This established visibility into customer accounts for the InFocus team and EMRE support to provide customer with quality and timely support. It eliminated/reduced: manually checking hundreds of weekly emails, human error, and ergonomic strain. Continuously improving the product through collaboration and user requests.-Enhanced and facilitated global training for new InFocus power users so that they can effectively assist the customers in their operations. Programmed several scripts in Python/VBA to assist customers and internal users such as data reconstruction, error finding, login auditing, and workflow validation, saving countless hours. Established documentation on API usage based on knowledge gained by onboarding API users on the platform. Allowing customers to be on boarded effectively based on their plant information system, providing example API payloads, and providing a standard for API troubleshooting. Created InFocus Superstars Yammer to allow for more communication between users, bug reporting, and efficient announcements. -
Safety Relief EngineerExxonmobil Aug 2018 - Apr 2020Houston, TexasProduced 2 safety relief reviews (greenfield and brownfield) in accordance with ASME BPVC Section VIII, API 520 / 521, ExxonMobil Design Practices, and local regulations to create evergreen overpressure analysis databases in Siemens PSPPM. Sized and selected relief devices to ensure adequate relief capacity and operating of reclosing, non-reclosing, and rupture type devices. Assisted in process model development for safe operating limits in Pro/II process simulation software. Completed acoustically/flow induced vibrations (AIV/FIV) analysis using Aspen Flare System Analyzer.- Completed SRR (Safety Relief Review) for the Baytown Refinery CLEU-1 (Catalytic Light Ends Unit). Completed risk assessment with site personnel and process safety personnel to close out all findings.- Completed SRR for the Strathcona Cogeneration Unit before initial startup of the unit. Issued recommendations to project team to ensure safe unit operation and startup.- Completed AIV (Acoustically Induced Vibrations) analysis for Liza FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) vessel flare network. Worked with project team to identify and close out all AIV findings.- Analyzed 18 process units at the Baytown Chemical Plant to compare Pro/II process simulations with 5 years of plant process data in preparation for Baytown Flare Study.- Developed Python program to provide first pass determination at differences in P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) using computer vision. Tested with 650+ P&ID revisions and completed task in 30 mins, saving time, increasing repeatability, and helping ergonomics when compared to the original 2 week task for a full-time engineer. -
