As a hostess I learned time management skills, how to manage certain sections, and how to formulate personal connections with guests and staff. Within each section of the restaurant there is 10+ tables in which I would have to carefully time out rotations with servers and also make sure they were clean and ready for guests to sit immediately. Once again my communication skills came in handy when talking with guests about issues they would have and coming up with a solution. This restaurant is extremely busy during the summer, so I worked very good under pressure.

While working at a tanning place I developed many skills when it came to leadership, my selling ability, and a hard work ethic. One of the main things I did was sell products and certain tanning packages to customers. I would have to be well educated on all of the physical tanning products we sold such as lotions and what they specifically did, while also having to know the price ranges of the different tanning packages and the features each one came with. This allowed me to gain experience in sales. I also operated a database in which personal and financial information was stored.
