I get a high from checking an item off from my “to do” list. As a child, I loved organizing anything that was disorderly. As an adult, I channel this passion into managing projects. My PM background is extensive; I'm PMP certified with 10+ years starting in the learning and development field, transitioned to a healthcare IT PMO setting, and then migrated to the legal industry. I have not only led and developed others to enhance their performance, but I have also successfully managed myriad small to large projects. What has managing projects taught me the most? That everyone has their own learning curve, and they need to be met where they are. I find where they are on that curve and help them navigate what success means to them. It takes passion and preparation to manage projects, humor to keep people human, relaxed, and productive, and patience and understanding to coach others. What do I do best? Identify the goal, understand the process by asking questions so I can make information more digestible and manageable, organize all the details (milestones, tasks, people, risks, etc.), and leverage and cultivate my working relationships to accomplish the desired results on time. I’ve earned my reputation of being hard working through leading by example and rolling up my sleeves to get things done.In a nutshell, my passion for managing projects is coupled with a love for accomplishing the work by collaborating in cross-functional teams. This is what I do best and love most. Show me a template and allow me to do what I do best - - incorporate and apply it to create a desired successful solution.
