Julie Bendix completed her undergraduate degree in dietetics at the University of Wisconsin in 2010 with "highest distinction". Based on her academic excellence and leadership in dietetics, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation awarded her the Carol V. Hall scholarship for continuing education in 2010 and the Patsyjane O'Malley Memorial scholarship in 2012 to fund her dietetic internship and graduate degree in public health at the University of Michigan. After providing nutrition services to the low-income HIV/AIDS population in Chicago, Julie decided to pursue a graduate degree in public health from the University of Michigan - School of Public Health. As a public health dietitian, Julie intends to decrease pregnancy complications and improve the health of future populations through her private practice specializing in prenatal nutrition, infant and child nutrition, and lactation.
