Having qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, I spent the early part of my career working within Acute Psychiatric Services for patients with mental health illness and challenging behaviour and this progressed to Care Home ManagementI then spent 10 years working within Addiction Services and this is where my real passion and motivation lies and I have extensive knowledge and experience in the addiction field, working with clients presenting with chemical and behavioural addictions. Working for a Treatment Service Provider I was involved at the creation of the business and was responsible for business development and managing the day to day business needs, supervising and training staff and creating business to business contracts. I also assessed and advised clients, families, employers etc and signposted them to the most appropriate treatment plan, which included case management throughout the treatment process and beyond. My current role as Senior Registered Manager means I am CQC registered to manage a 48 bed residential mental health and addiction service, a 49 bed nursing home for people with mental health illness and a 6 bed Supported Living service. Additionally I support at corporate level, taking responsibility for crisis management and quality monitoring, plus having input in corporate decisions, policy and procedure
