2012-May to Present - System QA Engineer IIThe System QA Engineer develops QA standard work, create and performs test plans, validation and release of new software packages for new products or existing products.Responsibilities:• Use comprehensive knowledge of company products, service issues and customer complaints to guide continuous improvement.• Work with product owner and engineering teams to develop new-product specifications.• Setup and conduct tests of components and complete units under operational conditions to investigate designs that improve performance and to generate standards for quality control.• Data collection and report generation for component and system performance evaluations for Advance Technology Group.• Assist Application Lab team in developing new applications for company products.• Generate and execute test plans to validate software during development.• Create and execute exploratory tests on major releases.• Work with product owner and project managers to track and manage the flow of software features / bugs through software development tracking system.• Participate in agile with the software team (Jira); manage the Sustainment project • Perform work-flow validation and integration testing of new products; evaluate the performance of the product as a user.• Create and validate software installation documentation and tools for final assembly group• Organize information and develop QA procedures; create and validate QA standard work documentation for QC department.• Create and update customer-facing documents such as user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, and “Quick Start” cards.• Collect and validate packages, documentation, utilities, specifications for released products and transfer to released filesystem; develop release notes for software packages.• Assist with the design of test fixtures and other tools for assembly team to achieve “built-in quality”.• Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations to collect data and recommend corrective actions.• Provide on-going support to manufacturing QA team.• Provide training and customer support to Sales and Service team.• Supports the Internal and External Service team with gathering, examining and solving customer issues• Administer the software team bug-tracking and version control account.• Support Final Test and Optic Assembly as needed.
