It is my responsibility to ensure that information meets the medico-legal requirements, is up to date, evidence based and accessible. As well as maintaining existing documents, I also commission and prepare new documents for the ever-growing library. I build and manage relationships with relevant organisations, associations, colleges and charities to ensure our content is of the best quality and accessible for all. I organised the successful EIDO Consent conference in Nov 2024. I was responsible for the whole event, overseeing the programme, marketing, registrations, venue, pre- and post-event comms and the speaker dinner the evening before.I work closely with many surgeons and other clinicians based in the UK and further afield, often consulting with the clinical editorial board. I chair regular meetings with external and internal colleagues to discuss and move forward our content production projects. I present to existing and potential customers on the EIDO informed consent products. I work primarily in the UK, but also with our colleagues in South Africa, Australia, Canada, the UAE and more, where EIDO content is available. I manage two editors who work directly on our original documents as well as their offshoots ('Lite' versions, Easy Reads, online training modules, etc) and a translation coordinator who oversees all projects relating to translated content. I work alongside colleagues in sales and marketing, digital development, social media and international outreach and I report directly to the CEO.I am a member of the Patient Information Forum (PIF) Tick Sounding Board and a Topic Lead for the Patient Safety Learning Hub. Every year I work on the annual BJN awards, which features up to 17 categories. I am a co-judge on a selection of categories and liaise with the event team, judges, guest speakers, nominees, and clients. I am responsible for the editorial budgeting process of all of the above journals and liaise with each editor to ensure this is done efficiently and accurately. I represent the editors, and their journals, in quarterly meetings with managers, directors and publishers.
