Oversee the day-to-day operations of the aquatics facility, consisting of a 138,000 gallon competition pool, a 37,000 gallon therapy pool, and a 1,000 gallon whirlpool.Manage the cleaning, maintenance, and chemical levels for the facility.Directly supervise a staff of over 40.Responsible for the staffing, scheduling, purchasing, marketing, and inventory needs of the Aquatics Department.Coordinate staff orientation for new hires and staff development initiatives, including in-service training programs, for lifeguards and swim instructors. Control the department budget and administer biweekly payroll.Serve as customer service spokesperson to all current and prospective YMCA members, participants, and parents in person, over the phone, and via email.Provide 5 - 10 direct service hours per week in lifeguarding hours and class instruction.Coaching and administration duties for the youth swim team, website updates, developed and maintain roster and result database, helped to grow team by 300% in four seasons (40 swimmers to 120). Improved bottom line for the Aquatics Department and swim team by over $32K in first three full fiscal years, as paid class enrollments have improved 39%.
