• Oversee all projects within the Events Group department to include preparing cost estimates, assigning responsibilities, strategic planning, approving all costs in connection with events and venues and reviewing contracts for projects • New Business Development for Events Group Department including budgeting, sales presentation development, strategic planning with Client Services Team and live presenting • Employee Management, Training and Development for Department of 12• Oversee department activities that include the negotiation, contracting and management of 45+ projects and nearly 1,000 scheduled events annually • Oversee department client budgets and reporting for an average of $5,000,000 annually and department services budget on average of $1,500,000 annually• Department lead at agency wide department head weekly priorities meeting to evaluate workloads, prioritization and deadline management• Purchasing manager responsible for contract review and approval for all event and venue contracts throughout agency • Work collaboratively with GMR clients and account teams to develop a customized marketing plan to meet client goals and objectives• Manage key vendor relationships and negotiations
