During my nearly 8 years journey at Smily (formerly BookingSync), I had the opportunity to work on many projects and topics such as :- Help big companies like CDiscount, Veepee, Holidu, Maeva, HomeToGo and others to integrate Smily’s system and build solutions to deploy and maintain partnerships.=> I had to adapt to their specific process, interact with people in different role, study their different needs, update our API, docs, provide technical support on a daily basis and help in the partnership’s maintenance.- Be the OKR Champion of my team for the last 3 years.=> This role helped me develop more skills beside the technical aspect of my developer tasks : team communication and collaboration between product and lead, goals and strategy planning, time management and prioritization, team player, global vision- Growth from Junior to Senior Ruby on Rails developer:=> I had responsibility in :maintaining and improving several old legacy appsbuilding new apps or features (using different approach like Event Storming, UML, Sequence Diagram, DDD, TDD)reducing technical debt (gems, ruby, )improving code quality and performanceproviding technical support (both internally and externally with our partners)Examples of technical projects I worked on :- Migrate old API synchronization to Apache Kafka on severals apps - using internal message bus based on Karafka, app refactoring to apply layered architecture- Migrate Rails 4 to 6, Ruby 2 -> 3- Internal Analytics app, apply CQRS by using Sequent, Event Storming to discover the project- Our team main app was a Website Builder (like Wordpress), I was involved in its evolution from the 1st to 3d version (the last one), in lot of product discussions, architecture discussions with a lot of sequence and UML diagrams, was involved in new search engine to speed up by 10 times.Tools: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Sidekiq, Sentry, DataDog, Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub, Miro, Jira, Slack, Notion, etc
