Co-led strategy and insights development for the Fonterra board, working with a team of specialist contributors (food scientists, commercial analysts, nutritionists etc).Prior to this I played a key role in the re-organisation and onboarding of our wider team during a McKinsey transition, responsible for the acceleration of BU innovation strategy and the incubation of new ventures. During this re-org, I also provided coaching to new teams within the incubator.

Managed the adoption of Fonterra’s recent significant digital transformation investment across the global markets.

A collaboration with a data scientist / ex meteorologist to prototype a planning optimisation tool for the Building and Construction sector focused on minimising productivity loss due to weather disruption. Our proof of concept was a web service with basic responsive UI that ingests local weather data. The service indexed the data against a chosen weather dependent construction activity based on prescribed rules native to that chosen process, resulting in specific recommendations, interventions and alerts in real time as the weather changed (ie. Relevant to roofing, different stages of concrete pouring, curing and strengthening, painting etc).

I was approached to lead Touchcast’s Auckland operations through a period of high growth following acquisition by Omnicom / Clemenger Group.I also played a key leadership role as Touchcast delivered the customer transformation (digital and across the retail network) as NZ’s largest telco Telecom rebranded to Spark.

Kiwispace was initially founded in 2010 by Mark Mackay and myself after meeting like-minded rocketry and space exploration enthusiasts at a NZ Rocketry Association launch. We initially came together to create a ‘community of interest’ and provide a support platform to connect people who were working in a related industry, or were interested in pursuing study or a career within the space industry. We quickly ventured into providing learning and engagement opportunities (centred around space science and exploration) for school aged children and teenagers.We successfully launched a number of initiatives in NZ such as:- NZ Rocketry Challenge http://www.rocketcontest.org.nz/ (2012 -2016)- SpaceUP NZ Unconference (2013 ) http://spaceup.org.nz/ - KiwiMars (2012) http://www.kiwispace.org.nz/mars2012 - NASA's Cassini Scientist for a Day competition (2012)- International Google Space Apps Challenge (supporting role)

During my time with SGAC, I was invited to join the executive office's delegation at the Legal Subcommittee meetings of the COPUOS at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria. Whilst in Vienna, I also attended various lectures and workshops on Space Law and Policy as well as events with NASA and JAXA. We worked as an Agile virtual team which enabled effective collaboration and clear visibility of progress and responsibility. The opportunity to work with SGAC for those 2 years provided me with invaluable experiences that I would never have otherwise had access to within NZ.
