I am a senior peace and democracy expert with over 20 years of experience in more than 25 countries, providing technical assistance and program management for large, complex programs in rapidly evolving contexts. I have been instrumental in starting up and providing ongoing leadership for national and international programs, recruiting winning teams, implementing program management systems and building staff and partner capacity to ensure success. Clients include the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), Freedom House, the Carter Center and the Parliamentary Centre.As a senior elections consultant, I have contributed significantly to IFES' election communication, conflict and security, and leadership portfolios - leading assessments and analysis, developing and delivering training, and conducting innovative new research in the areas of political party engagement, electoral leadership, crisis and strategic communication, disinformation, and election risks related to climate change. Previously, I served as Deputy Regional Director for Asia and the South Pacific at IFES, where I oversaw programming in 10 countries and helped grow the department into the organization’s largest. Prior to that I was Director of the Partners in Humanity Program at Search for Common Ground, where I worked to transform and mitigate entrenched conflict and polarization. I have held board/advisory positions at several organizations and am currently an Associate Member of the Parliamentary Centre of Canada. I have private sector marketing and public relations experience and have worked for provincial and federal governments in my early career. I am fluent in English and French.
