As SVP Compliance, I am solely responsible for daily supervision of a staff who coordinate the first year and annual audits of resident files for LIHTC Compliance. I am also responsible for the assessment and review of regulatory and Compliance risk in a portfolio of 1100+ properties.Duties as Asset Manager included the analysis of financial, financing and property management aspects for a portfolio of over 50 LIHTC rental properties. An Asset Manager is directly responsible for review and interpretation of partnership documents and successful abstraction of certain information to assist the ownership structure with their fiduciary and legal responsibility to the Limited Partnership and assess risk.

Duties as Asset Manager included the monitoring and analysis of financial, compliance and property management files for a portfolio of over 50 LIHTC Section 42 properties. Provided property Management Company’s assistance with their fiduciary responsibility to their properties along with curb appeal issues and maintaining program compliance throughout the agreed period. Directly responsible as the Compliance Officer for the calculation of Credit Months for properties after lease-up, provided direct assistance to Property Managers through the Compliance Help Desk and composed Critical Document Notebooks for management agents. Responsibility included review of all compliance files for properties during the lease-up phase and insurance file auditing and monitoring and maintenance of insurance certificates.

Directly responsible for the daily operations of 300+ family rental units. Developed marketing strategies, annual goals and objectives for staff. Responsible for maintaining files for tax credit compliance and audit preparation. Reviewed occupancy reports to reduce vacancies and also reviewed the Tenant Account Receivables report to reduce accounts receivables. Responsible for supervision of administrative and maintenance employees.
