For the past year, I have been working at the YVC Campus,focusing in four areas:- BAU: Working on day to day needs of the college, responding to all kinds of requests, executing projects, troubleshooting,repairing broken/damaged devices, managing the access ports and vlans, etc.- Documentation : I have created a complete series of Visio design, so the network is more compressible for the team. Also, some guides and “how-to” have been created for future reference.- Hardware and software updates: All the networking infrastructure that YVC has in production has been updated to the latest firmware version. This includes firewalls, switches, WIFI access points, and UPS devices.- Enhance network design: I have designed and migrated the existing technology to a new core network, changing the previous firewall and core switch to a new Fortigate firewall and distribution switches solution. In the process, all fiber has been updated to a new standard. Also I designed and studied different solutions to move to a new access layer standard with a new hardware providers

I worked on the Cybersecurity Team as part of the IT Advisory Department at KPMG Spain for three years. I designed and implemented security solutions for a variety of clients in different industries, for example:Insurance: Improved Business Continuity Plan. Project consisted of setting up a new function for contingency in the event of disasters. First the former infrastructure was studied, in order to create Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) and plans for improvement and reinforcement.Banking: Improved monitoring of critical applications. Project in which an additional security layer was implemented over the most critical applications of the bank, analyzing with a SIEM the logs generated by the different applications within the scope. The project consisted of understanding the application, reviewing the logs that were generated, designing and applying new use cases, and managing the project so that the bank's IT team generated the monitoring in the Splunk SIEM.Government: Implemented a secure model of public Cloud Data Center. Project focused on defining and implementing a security layer over the architecture deployed in the AWS cloud, scalable and in high availability.Telecom: Collaborated on security master plan. Assisted in the definition of the plan and implementation of an online Intrusion Protection System (IPS) for the Data Center servers, as well as survey and documentation of internal networks.

I was promoted to the security department after earning my CISCO CCNA certification. Due to the diversity of international clients that Accenture's security department serves, I managed many different technologies such as:- Perimeter Security: Cisco ASA, Juniper JUNos, Fortigate, and Palo Alto.- VPN Solutions: Site-2-Site and Client-2-Site (Pulse Secure)- Proxy and Web Filtering Connections: BlueCoat, Optenet- Hacking Prevention: Cisco IPS, Palo Alto, IPS Fortigate, McAfee EPO- Request and Incident Resolution- Vulnerability Management Design and implementation of network and security DRPs.

I served as part of a team of managers that supervised the Data Center in Madrid 24x7. Provided services such as:- Alarm monitoring, Batch processes- Remote hands for the entire Data Center (servers, network electronics, backup units, etc.)- Collection and resolution of requests and incidents- Reporting and statistics preparation- Backups controls (monitoring, planning, problem-solving)

As an on-site support technician, I managed the client's network and systems and worked with the client to recognize, plan and implement IT improvement projects. I provided support to end users, best practices training and served as the link between the customer and the service provider (AOS).

As part of my applied science degree in IT Applications Development, during this internship I collaborated on the development of web applications using PHP forms and programming with JAVA.

Corresponding with my applied science degree in IT Systems Administration, through this internship I worked on maintenance of both the workstations and the servers at CSIC.
