Develop and deliver both unit and command level presentation/briefs on prevention topics to include child abuse, domestic abuse, and stress or anger management. Facilitate evidence based educational classes and workshops, i.e., Coping with Work & Family Stress, Century Anger Management, Married & Loving It, or Triple P Parenting, with the purpose of improving life skills and reducing the impact of challenges associated with a mobile military lifestyle. Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate programs to support military members and their families. Programs are to be updated according to the changing needs of the community and/or command requirements.Develop and implement a comprehensive education program for military families in the dynamics of domestic abuse and child abuse. Provide information on the availability of treatment services and the Marine Corps policies regarding family violence. Nationally certified by the National Organization for Victim Assistance as a Department of Defense Sexual Assault Primary initial point of contact for victims of Sexual Assault. Provided SAPR and Prevention trainings to all Active Duty and Civilian staff on Naval Base Coronado on various topics including: Sexual Assault Awareness, Reporting options, Navy response to Victims and Prevention. Created presentations on Rape Trauma Syndrome and helped create and implement prevention and bystander prevention curriculums to Navy Active Duty Members. Supported victims in advocating on their own behalf while, encouraging personal growth and empowerment. Coordinated the civilian and military services behalf of victims. Provided victims with information on reporting options and referrals to military/community services. Accompanied victims to various agencies including medical, legal, and investigative services, as needed.

Provided victims of spouse abuse with information regarding safe and confidential ways to seek assistance, their rights as Navy spouses, military and civilian orders for protection, and available civilian and military resources. Conducted safety assessment and planning with each client. Arranged transportation to shelters, medical, legal, and support group appointments. Accompanied victims to interviews with investigative agencies and appearances in court. Translated intake interviews for case managers from English to Spanish and vice versa. Translated court documents and anything else clients needed translated from English to Spanish. Consulted with the Case Manager regarding development of an appropriate plan of assistance/intervention which provides for the safety of the victim and assisted Case Managers in making referrals to other helping agencies, when asked.

Solicited, scheduled and led classroom presentations on sexual assault/violence prevention education to adult and of youth groups in different communities and schools.
