The main activities took place in the… Show more During my internship at the Alcântara Launch Center, I had the opportunity to understand in practice what a launch center is, what obstacles to overcome and how tasks are organized and performed, in addition to understanding in a deeper way how the systems present there are operated. The main area of activity was in the Preparation and Launching Sector, where I had the opportunity to operate as a learning experience with employees of the launch center. The main activities took place in the Propeller Preparation Building and in the Advanced Control Center, and among these activities, the following stand out: understand in practice how the activation and deactivation of the firing line of the ignition system works, acting in the preparation, displacement and integration of the rocket on the launch pad, observe/participate in the last events before the ignition of a rocket. In addition, I also had the opportunity to observe several real missions that were carried out during the internship period and preparations for other ones. Finally, I did a performance evaluation work, where I tried to identify the possible physical damages that would be caused to the center in case of a launch vehicle explosion in the launch pad of the Mobile Integration Tower. The internship was extremely important for my graduation, as I was able to increase my ability to conceive ideas about launch centers or how to adapt launcher/payload projects to them. Show less
