Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, I became an extremely curious and resourceful person. There are many excellent things that I do and have done in pursuit of my curiosity. From building mansions and chainsaws out of lego/knex as a child, and working with my grandfather on his tenant properties, I became very interested in engineering and home renovation. Following this interest all the way through grade school led to me joining an AECOM student/staff team in which our idea placed 2nd in an architecture competition where the winners get their blueprints realized and built. There was another hobby of mine that I vigorously practiced, which was coding, beginning in sixth grade on a site called Scratch.mit.edu. I was fortunate to get a coding internship at the NASA Glenn Research Center as a high schooler, and I give thanks to this hobby. I learned the double bass at a young age, and eventually composed music, which led to my orchestral composition to be featured in the Cleveland Chamber Orchestra's 40th annual concert. I drew since the day I could hold a pencil, and with my studies in Japanese language, I had my manga submission featured in a newsletter. And, in my very last semester in college, I managed to study abroad in Japan and return home in time to graduate and walk the stage with everyone.Now all of this may sound like bragging, and yes I'm proud to have my accomplishments. Like anyone with a goal, I worked hard for them, but was not alone in my achievements. So many people have helped me get to this point in my life. Thank you to everyone who made an impact on my journey. Now it's time to return the favor. Cleveland is a diamond-in-the-rough. You don't even have to look closely to discover that you can gain many amazing opportunities and experiences. For me, these experiences changed my life, but it difficult to achieve so much with an unstable home situation; not having a house to call your own. That is not something that anyone should have to go through, and to be frank, it really freaking sucks. Therefore, I have come up with a long-term goal: build more quality housing so people never have to worry about where they lay their head and instead focus on what their future entails. In this manner I can help turn Cleveland into a diamond.
