Responsible and accountable for architecture design for new and enhanced infrastructure to meet the technical and business requirements for all IT systems. Act as technical consultant and architect for existing and new development projects. Advise on sizing, capacity planning, design of the configuration and related procedures for distributed environments with additional focus on security and related network connections. Responsible for designing appropriate infrastructure solutions that leverage firm standard IT practices across a distributed environment. Work on project teams as a technical expert and deliver quality products according to project schedule with a strong emphasis on collaboration, coordination, advocacy, and mentoring.Responsible for ensuring that server, storage, network, security needs are architected for redundancy, scalability and performance.Working across all infrastructure layers (server, storage, network, databases and applications) to comprehend and recommend improvements and enhancements to existing and all future implementations and to help set the direction on all current and future projects and processes Hands-on expertise from idea and design through implementation and post-implementation support /maintenance. Also responsible for understanding industry standards and best practices, keeping current with industry trends and emerging technologies, provide guidance and direction to the various development and business groups on standards that drive quality and performance.
