This exciting role gives me the opportunity to work as a Clinical Education Tutor, and a Paramedic Officer. I spend part of my time in Clinical Education - Teaching, mentoring and assessing all grades of staff , from new entrants, to CPD training for existing staff in both the classroom and out in the field. Other tasks in the Tutor Role include creating teaching material, marking assessments, managing cohorts as the course director, and creating assessments.Recent tasks involve leading on the review of the curriculum for all UK and International Paramedics joining the trust, creating a bespoke package tailored to the needs of the candidates and the Trust, and also creating assessments for the new Future Quals Associate Ambulance Practitioner programme.The other element of this role involves working in the field, sometimes as a clinical lead, responding to the most serious and complex incidents and providing clinical leadership, support and extended skills, and sometimes as an operational commander, giving direction and support to colleagues in a scene management capacity.
