I am currently assisting Braun Intertec's Kansas City team with a multitude of various environmental consulting projects with work responsibilities including a good balance of office and field work. The majority of my experience includes conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (Due Diligence), contaminated site characterization, remediation activities and monitoring, and groundwater monitoring. I have been involved in contaminated site characterization work from inception to completion, including preliminary receptor surveys, work plan creation, budgeting, collecting contractor bids, overseeing and conducting field activities, maintaining laboratory samples under chain of custody procedures, and final data analysis with reporting and recommendations. Soil and groundwater characterization work has included lithologic logging and sampling while guiding direct-push, hollow-stem auger, and sonic drilling methods. Other branches of project experience include Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) evaluations and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspection services. I conducted SWPPP inspections for a 111-turbine wind farm construction project including turbine pad construction areas, access roads, crane walks, building construction areas, borrow pits, and more. I have completed PFAS sampling events where initial project work involved a sampling presentation to our client and their long-time environmental consultant. Each of these demanding projects received the clients’ praise for timeliness, efficacy, and professionalism.
