Coaching students on applying correct coding guidelines, utilizing ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS codes taking the CPC, CPC-H (Facility) courses offered online through AAPC. Auditing current curriculum for compliance and correct rationales. Other projects as needed.; Out Patient Coder Level 2 Apply CPT Codes and charged clinic billing Sheets in Epic. Reconcile charges in Epic. Research patient charts and add ICD-9 codes, HCPCS and modifiers. Demonstrate the ability in abstracting codes from Radiology and labs to support patient diagnosis. Currently coding Cardiology and Neurosurgery, Echo, Mobile Echo, Vas Lab, Vas Access, Neurology, Cath Labs, Ep lab.

I was a outpaient facility coder for the following clinics. Cardiology, Cath LAb, Echo, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Burn Clinic

Medical Coding Internship. Under the supervision of a senior coder, along with the Outpatient coders in the Payment Integrity Team. Printed daily schedules out of IDX Term, Sorted billing sheets by clinics. Applied CPT Codes and charges from clinic billing Sheets into Allegra. Reconciled charges in Excel. Researched patient charts and added ICD-9 codes and modifiers. Demonstrated ability in abstracting codes from Radiology and labs to support patient diagnosis.

Working in the Repair department, issued RMA, track status of repair and prepared reports for senior staff. Heavy phones and emails.

Maintain Databases; Authored procedure manual detailing department protocols. Serve as Liaison between customers and in-house support personnel; expedite repair process.
