Brought to Buffalo from a former top sales rep office for Buffalo Forge/Howden because of my extensive background and knowledge of industrial fans, dampers, expansion joints, silencers etc. for use in various industries but primarily power.At Howden, my knowledge was utilized as needed: - Customer Service/RFQ desk: dissect customer requests for parts and/or service from 27 original OEMs owned by Howden, locate records and assign to the proper Proposal Analyst or Engineer for quotes.- Proposal Analyst: accept RFQs for up to 5 different markets, research original & replacement parts, obtain parts $, quote and process the orders. Proposal Analyst/Project Mgr: receive RFQ, research history and drawings, locate and set up supplier as needed, quote, process and follow order through to final receipt of parts for any of the then 27 OEM products.Howden Roots:Proposal Analyst/Proposal Mgr: Assigned as the primary aftermarket support for a newly acquired high tech fan product.Developed an unprecedented supportive rapport with the overseas manufacturer resulting in more timely and accurate parts for customers.Through dedication to making this product profitable, I and a coworker I requested to be brought on, the aftermarket segment for this product exceeded everyone’s expectIons for profitable sales and service, we were able to carry the new build group through a few lean times. Accepted RFQs direct from customers, sourced then set up new stateside suppliers, obtained $, quoted, sold and processed order entry and followed through until final shipment and for any subsequent questions or issues.Handled thru completion, all breakdowns and RFQs for parts/service. Returned to Howden No America;Proposal Analyst/Project Mgr. Once this division realized the profitability of the new product, they had both this product and memoved back to this division.
