We want to reach the masses with the Gospel and on-going discipleship ministry through evolving electronic means such as emails, text messaging, and social media. One of the most unique things about Crossroads is our 24/hour prayer lines. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of people have called in for prayerful support as the Prayer center remains open all year round. This role, therefore, furthers our engagement in ways that partner with Crossroads online community and Prayer Center Community who are seeking to expand their knowledge and understanding of faith for the purpose of growing in their relationship with Christ.The Digital Pastor will work cross-functionally with the Prayer Centre Manager and departments who create resources/content for evangelism and be instrumental in ensuring that we have ongoing connection opportunities which advance the spiritual journey of our constituents.As a Digital Pastor I have a heart for building strong faith communities based on discipleship. We are living in interesting times and as such it important to explore where faith and culture intersect and have an intrinsic understanding of how to connect with people of varying levels of spiritual awareness. I am of the belief that we should be open to accepting anyone and everyone at their various life and faith stages, helping them to understand that Jesus loves them dearly but does not want to leave them at that stage. Jesus will help them grow and mature. This is why we exist to walk alongside believers through discipleship ministry.
