Managed upto >100 engineers in optical, mechanical, electrical and control- Leading engineering group to develop various optical products including imaging, illumination, lighting and optical metrology. - Lead multiple R&D projects to develop optical components and assemblies: projection lens, collimator, polarizer, illumination assembly, micro lens array, interferometer, etc- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to coordinate multi-disciplinary R&D activities.- Work with world class suppliers to develop optical sub-assemblies and prove concepts by prototyping.- Support marketing & sales team by providing technical insight and giving key customer presentation- Create plan for yearly operation and goal and manage team’s resource, budget, and expenses

- Develop many lighting products using illumination devices such as reflector, TIR lens, free-form optics, etc.- Incubate technologic breakthroughs in three key areas, optics, thermal and electronics- Collaborate with marketing, product realization and sales channels- Mentor junior engineers to accelerate their technical strength and align their goal with business strategy - Create a project plan such as resource, budget and timing to meet marketing need and executing them

I moved to Rohm and Haas with the acquisition.Working as principal investigator whose primary assignment is to play a role of technical lead in multi-disciplinary team and guide team member in right technical track. Other assignment includes to identify new product concept and provide management with technical feedback.I spend most of my time to design products through optical modeling and build extensive knowledge of product performance in the course of product development. Thanks to uniqueness of my role, I become the most knowledgeable person in a project. Using this capability, I become educator for each team member and organizer of individual technical activities so that team must have a good control on overall activities to achieve a project goal.
