It’s simple. I am passionate about using technology to help people. For over 20 years, I have helped companies define, implement, and maintain technology strategies, manage businesses in all operational capacities, provided customers with the kind of support and compassion I hope my mom would receive, and developed services and products that make a difference in the lives of those that use them.

President & FounderReadywarn/Versitell Communications Sep 2008 - PresentBaraboo, WiReadyWarn is an online version of the Emergency Alert System which allows it’s TV, Radio, print media, and emergency management users to automatically publish severe weather and emergency alert messages to their social media accounts in real-time. It was a balmy summer night years ago when I was first exploring Twitter that I noticed meteorologists posting severe weather warnings to Twitter. This was really cool, but there was a problem. Sometimes they would post and sometimes they wouldn’t. Sometimes they’d get the word out a minute after the alert was issued and sometimes they would be 10 minutes late. And with that, ReadyWarn was born. With a background in broadcasting, computer programming, web service development, and what you would likely call a more than hobby level knowledge of meteorology, I set out to create a system which would allow users to remove the inconsistencies that were present with providing this life saving information. At the same time, we wanted to start a social media conversation for them which they could join in once their more urgent responsibilities had been taken care of. It took a year and a half to fully develop ReadyWarn to be a robust, extremely stable, and easy-to-use system. Today, ReadyWarn has become the standard in the broadcast and emergency management industries for delivering severe weather and emergency alerts to social media platforms. In addition to ReadyWarn, I am also responsible for the creation and development of the Versitell Communications Customer Notification Service which is used by a number of resorts and hotels to automatically notify guests by phone and text message when their room is ready for check-in.

Director Of Sales And EngagementBaraboo Broadcasting Corporation Jun 2017 - Oct 2019Baraboo, WiThere aren’t many small towns that still have a local radio and TV station, but Baraboo, Wisconsin does and we are breathing life back into both of them with an amazing team focused on serving the community. We are about more than radio and TV. On any given day, I may help a business design a multifaceted marketing campaign including radio, TV, digital, social media, and print, organize a local fundraiser, produce a live webcast, and fix a piece of equipment… and that’s just before lunch! Then it's on to shooting video for a commercial, editing a cinematic masterpiece, and then off to a meeting to help plan the future of this vibrant and growing area. Oh, and don't forget rebooting things. There's lots of rebooting things. There may be a better way to combine my love of technology, business, broadcasting, and philanthropy, but I haven't found it yet.

Director Of Technical ServicesSound Devices, Llc Aug 2013 - Jun 2015Reedsburg, WiSound Devices is an amazing company that is known worldwide for designing, building, selling, and supporting the equipment used to capture audio and video used in the production of the biggest movies, television series, and multimedia productions ever created! As the Director of Technical Services, it was my role to oversee the service repair and customer support operations. With a focus on absolute customer satisfaction and an unwavering desire to ensure that our customers were always able to get their job done, we built upon an already incredible reputation of providing the best products with the best service in the production sound and video markets. Through the implementation of new repair processes, the development of data analytics tools to identify repair trends and opportunities, the creation of an environment where the service and technical support departments worked hand in hand to resolve customer issues, the streamlining of the customer interaction process through the support function, and the planning and roll out of a new European service center, my team and I were able to drastically reduce repair turnaround time by more than 60%, improve the rate of support based resolutions which decreased the number of unnecessary RMAs and replacements, and provide a level of technical support to our customers by phone, email, and social media that unrivaled by any other manufacturer in the industry. -
