Directs core initiatives NATO Coalition COIN Ops Afghanistan; linchpin to US strategic Nat'l Security objectives. Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive force education/development strategy for AAF.

Pentagon

Principal assistant to the 2-star equivalent SES Director for USAF Information Dominance acquisition programs. Executes the Director's strategic intent to provide rigorous acquisition oversight of a 56-program, $71B C4ISR portfolio with significant OSD, Joint, industrial, international, and Congressional interest. Led 5-person branch responsible for Air Force Air Traffic Control & Combat ID portfolios; $3B across lifecycle. Was the SECAF primary acq focal point for management of $1.9B JPALS program; world's next generation landing system. Provided program direction and acq oversight--#1 conduit for PEO, Joint/Air Staff, MAJCOM, & OSD cooperation. Formulated and defended Air Force positions to the Congress, OSD, Joint Staff, sister services, and other agencies.

Directed squadron operations and 250 curriculum hours for nine selectively assigned flight commanders and 735 students annually. Lead squadron in commander's absence, directing critical suspense items and ensuring standardized curriculum execution. Taught and evaluated 98 USAF, international officer, and DoD civilian students in intensive five week PME program.

Lead 22-person team executing GCSS-AF acquisition functions--financial management, contracting, PMO ops. Directed preparation, approval, and execution of all contract actions for $1.2B, 12-year R&D and sustainment contract. Evaluated contractor cost/schedule/technical performance--recommended contractor award fee to 3-star ESC/CC. Managed requirements through collaboration with O-6 representatives from MAJCOMs and Air Staff functional.

Managed the development, acquisition, modification, and logistics programs supporting the nuclear treaty monitoring mission of the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) and other programs as directed by SAF/AQ and HQ USAF. Provided new and enhanced proliferation detection technologies for weapons of mass destruction, supporting the President in the successful conduct of US foreign policy.

Annually commanded over 100 new USAF officers and DoD civilians. Instructed, supervised, and evaluated students in Air and Space Basics Course, the USAFs first-level officer PME. Executed a curriculum consisting of 8 demanding 4-week courses with over 150 curriculum hours. Directly responsible for building the foundation of USAF officers: to develop an “Airman First” mentality, knowledgeable of USAF doctrine and core competencies, and dedicated to USAF core values and teamwork.
