Frankenmuth Brewery is Michigan’s oldest brewery (since 1862). I was the first modern, in-house creative employee and I was responsible for all creative work and marketing materials. This includes beer and wine labels with original illustrations, packaging design, merchandise, apparel, in-store signage, social media & email marketing. I worked to establish and implement a unified look and feel with set brand standards & guidelines across the entire organization.

I was a contracted freelancer doing production design and layouts, eventually moving into some conceptual design and art direction. I contributed to many corporate and local campaigns while working in a fast-paced and highly demanding collaborative environment.

Zingerman’s Community of Businesses is a unique and sprawling gourmet food company that values creativity and strong branding. I worked in the art department of the flag-ship delicatessen, designing graphics for in-store signage, catalogs, social media and, newsletters. I also produced original illustrations and hand-painted signage. All of this was done adhering to the company’s strict yet fun and playful brand standards.
