Experienced Ph.D. with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital and clinical setup. Gained expertise in the dissection of the lower limb (knee joint), isolation of progenitor cells and testing anti-aging drugs on the primary cultured cells in a clinical laboratory. Past experience in primary culture of human chondrogenic progenitor cells, synovial fibroblasts from the synovial membrane, pancreatic cancer stem cells, chondrocytes from the menisci and cartilage, mesenchymal stem cells from the infra patellar pad of fat, alveolar epithelial cells, fibroblasts of the lungs, cardiac progenitor cells, 3D cultures of chondrogenic progenitor cells, pancreatic cancer stem cells. Currently working on the human choroidal endothelial cells (CECs) and mice choroidal neo-vascularization mouse model to decipher the mechanism of EndoMT during AMD. Additional experience in flow cytometry based techniques (Characterization, phenotyping, cytometric bead array, and single cell sorting).Trained master's and PhD students during my doctorate and involved in teaching Genetics and molecular biology. Experienced in human cartilage/bone histopathology, mice lung histology, animal handling/dissection, pancreatic cancer biology. Also experienced in writing research grants (3D bioprinting of knee cartilage in collaboration with with IIT-Ropar, Punjab , Rheumatoid arthritis, Pancreatic Cancer stem cells etc.,) writing research articles and presentation of research at various conferences. Worked in the field of aging biology especially knee osteoarthritis (OA), Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and presently focusing on tackling Age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
