During my Summer Internship with Jebsen & Jessen Technology back in Malaysia, I assisted them in streamlining their Excel datasheet which they use in a steam turbine project. They use this datasheet from acquiring the project, procurement of the materials and manufacturing, and ultimately details of delivering the product. I essentially made the Excel sheet more user-friendly and also made it shorter by eliminating the unnecessary cells. In the end, the datasheet was shorten from 20 pages to 12 pages.In addition, a second project that I took on was to recreate a 3-D model of the steam turbine system from the 2-D drawing in AutoCAD. The steam turbine system consist of entities such as the steam turbine itself, gearbox, condenser, boiler, oil and lubricating system and even the platform where the whole system is situated. I had to extract the dimensions from AutoCAD and manually redraw it into Inventor. After 3 weeks, I managed to produce a full model of one of their steam turbines accurately.
