I have a PhD in Applied Mathematics, specialising in AtmosphericScience. The final year of my PhD was spent at the National Centre forAtmospheric Research, the world's premier atmospheric research facility.My primary duties have been the acquisition (during multi-national field experiments), analysis and interpretation of large, complex data sets. To achieve this, I implement sophisticated mathematical and statistical models using the programming languages, R, Python and IDL. I have published research articles in the academic literature and also prepared numerous reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Success in my scientific career has been built on a foundation of good organisational and time-management skills, enabling me to meet deadlines. During a scientific career spanning 14 years, I have worked in the UK, USA and Australia, collaborating with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I am personable, articulate and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, that enable to work effectively in teams and on collaborative projects.
