About Justin Allegri

As the voice of the California Golden Bears, Justin is the play-by-play broadcaster for football and men's basketball. Various other responsibilities include engineering broadcasts and emceeing at fundraising and gala events. Justin hosts and produces weekly a podcast, Bear In Mind. ​Outside of Cal Athletics, he is a part-time broadcaster for the San Jose Giants (MiLB’s California League). Justin adapts quickly, often filling in for the regular broadcaster, and provides insightful commentary due to his extensive background of calling baseball games. He consistently provides fans with unique stories that connect them with the team and to the game, and prides himself on working seamlessly with all departments including marketing, the front office, the managers, and team. His experience has taken him beyond live sports, as he is a voice on Sony PlayStation’s video game, MLB The Show, for the past five installments reaching millions of fans worldwide. You can hear his voice host a recap and highlight radio segment called, Inside the Show. Prior to Cal, Justin spent 10 years at San Jose State in a similar role. He has comprehensive experience in editing and production for live television, which included supervising and facilitating construction of Radio Studio for student athletes use in NIL opportunities and mobile live sports production trailer. Justin produces, shoots, voices and edits, radio and television commercials for various uses on social media, local and national television.​In addition while at San Jose State, Justin was the Broadcast Producer, overseeing the LiveStream and TV production of other Spartan sports, press conferences, and interviews which air on the Mountain West Digital Network and NBC Sports Bay Area.
