My responsibility during this internship was to write statistical models that could predict the success of college football players. These models combined both collegiate game statistics and NFL Combine numbers. The key to was to identify which statistics in college were most indicative of future NFL success and then find the optimal range variable. The purpose of these models was to help the agency identify "diamond in the rough" players who were likely to be drafted in the later rounds but ultimately have successful NFL careers. Once I identified such a player I was responsible for writing an in-depth scouting report outlining their background, strengths, weaknesses, and why my analysis suggests the will be a good NFL player. Occasionally I was given a specific player from my supervisor to research and project.

During this internship, I was asked to research potential clients for the baseball division of our agency and ultimately sell them on why we should represent them. I was the soul scout responsible for players in the New England College Baseball League (NECBL). My first step was to run data simulations based on each player's statistics compared to past successful players, both pitchers and hitters, to determine which players were most likely succeed. Once I found players who the numbers deemed to be "special", I wrote a comprehensive scouting report on why we should pursue the player and turned it into our Director of Scouting for the Northeast. If he approved of the player, I would next watch them play in person and subsequently write a report on their physical tools. After each game, I would approach the player to sell them on our agency and explain to them why we feel they are destined for success. Over the summer I got numerous commits including two projected Top 10 round players.

Plymouth, Ma

This internship was with the Plymouth Pilgrims of the NECBL. During this internship I assisted the General Manager with the day to day operations of the team. This included managing roster transactions and player contracts. I also managed a team of 21 interns for the team's game day operations responsibilities. These responsibilities included field maintenance, food and merchandise sales, fan relations, and many more. I also helped generate donations for the team's official charity, fragile footprints.

This internship was completed during the Summer of 2014. During this internship I was exposed to all facets sports management. These facets included Marketing/Promotions, Community and Public Relations, Ticket Operations, Stadium Operations, Ticket Sales and General Office Management, and In-Game Management.

Andover Massachusetts

I worked here whenever I had extended breaks from school (Spring/Summer/Winter Breaks). During my time at JAZD I held many responsibilities. I did extensive work in recruiting and engaging prospective clients to generate sales for the company. I wrote introductory e-mails to engage potential clients. When prospective clients responded to these e-mails, I connected them to our sales directors to set up a sales-call. I also conducted cold-calls with prospective clients for the same purpose of setting up sales calls with our sales directors. In addition to working with prospective clients, I worked with our current clients to ensured their experience with us was a positive one. I built 30+ online micro-site listings daily for clients including loading all products, whitepapers, videos, logo’s, website links and SEO description text. These micro-sites drove traffic to the client's homepages to drive sales. I also dealt with buyers who were looking to buy a product from one of our clients. I acted as a liaison on behalf of the buyers to ensure that they got the product that they were looking for at a competitive price.

Greater Southern New Hampshire Area

I was the manager of the 18U SNH Reds baseball team. This teams drew college level players from Southern New Hampshire and Northeastern Massachusetts. During the Summer of 2013, we managed to pull off a perfect Regular Season. My responsibilities as manager included making in-game decisions, running/organizing team practices, scheduling/rescheduling games, coordinating with other coaches to make sure there were umpires at every game, and organizing hotel accommodations for away tournaments. My most important job was managing my player's college recruiting. I built online recruiting sites for matriculating players, created highlight films, and introduced players to college coaches directly.
