I represent clients throughout the country in all aspects of labor and employment law. My clients range from local businesses to large national companies in a variety of industries, such as financial services, health care, manufacturing and distribution, and hospitality. I regularly defend clients in Federal and State court and before the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other federal, state, and local agencies. My litigation experience runs the gamut, from single plaintiff discrimination and harassment cases to collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition to my litigation experience, I advise clients on a variety of employment-related matters, including recruitment and hiring, diversity and inclusion, employee counseling / coaching, termination, leave administration, disability accommodation, reductions-in-force, wage and hour compliance, and FMLA compliance. I have extensive experience drafting employee handbooks, safety and health programs, employment agreements, severance agreements, and non-competition and other restrictive covenant agreements. I regularly conduct investigations involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, unpaid overtime, and other unlawful conduct. I am admitted to practice in the State of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Fourth, and Seventh Circuits.
