Experience Design uses a holistic approach to develop a consistent end-to-end product experience for all Desktop Metal hardware and software. The group leads Design Strategy, Industrial Design (ID), Software Interface (UI/UX), Hardware Interaction, and Human Factors (HFE); working in close collaboration with the different business functions of the organization. Through management of the Customer Journey across all product lines the team ensures a positive and consistent experience that reinforces Desktop Metal’s position as a leader and innovator in the Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing space.

Industrial Design lead on cross-disciplinary teams with projects ranging broadly in scope, duration, and focus. Responsibilities outside the traditional design tasks included: frequent client engagement, technical team collaborations, coordinating workshops, project tracking/resourcing, scoping new projects, and mentoring interns and staff designers.

Contributed to the development of consumer electronics, housewares, and medical devices. Coordinated and procured “looks like” models for projects using external vendors. Assumed the role of design lead on two healthcare programs and a pharmaceutical structural packaging project.
