As an Infant Hearing Screener, I have a wide range of duties. I complete proper paperwork and fax to necessary recipient (hospital, HR, etc.). I keep an organized and clean atmosphere to prevent the spread of disease among patients. I usually screen around 6-15 newborn babies within a three-to-four-hour time range per shift. With testing, I communicate results, information about the test, procedure of the test, and determine which babies need further testing with parents, doctors, and nurses. While testing, I care for and calm newborns to acquire an accurate reading to avoid any false-positives. I operate automated auditory brainstem response (AABR) device that measures babies hearing nerve and brain response to the sound played through earphone portion of device.

Assist individuals, groups, and systems through the application of positive behavior supports. Helps coordinate functional assessments of behavior and behavior intervention plan that address students’ inappropriate behaviors and provide a means to help the students become more successful. Behavior Interventionalist also provides classroom and school-wide behavior management strategies.
