As a member of the Public Policy & Strategic Alliances/Responsible Business and Network Regulatory Strategy teams at Verizon, I support the company's domestic policy agenda; manage relationships with key, strategic external partners; and also, help lead strategic local advocacy efforts in support of broadband subsidy bids that drive optimal broadband deployment. With over a decade of experience in public policy, regulatory, and external affairs, I have a proven track record of developing and implementing legislative strategy, tactics, and content in ways that help further Verizon's business and policy objectives.Before joining Verizon, I acquired a broad range of public policy and leadership skills as an executive director of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, Inc., a senior White House appointee in the Obama administration, and a mayoral appointee in the Reed administration with the City of Atlanta. I am also actively engaged with several nonprofit organizations, serving each in a leadership capacity. I am passionate about advancing the interests of the telecommunications industry and the communities we serve, and I am committed to building meaningful partnerships and collaborations across sectors and stakeholders.I hold a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and a B.B.A. from Howard University.
