Tasked with supervising and directing the daily activities of production line workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, while ensuring safety and monitoring performance. Some of the day to day tasks includes creating reports and records of production processes, tool/hardware performance updates, inventory, while ensuring the efficiency of the value stream. This includes sharing results with senior managers while providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity, and quality.I prepare, maintain, and update documentation relating to operating procedures, safety and quality standards. This ensures all processes and products meet desired Safety and Quality goals while simultaneously hitting Velocity goals. Other tasks include training new hires, managing scheduling/work conflicts, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Level 3 Machinist Technician in the Machine Shop while also being the 2nd shift C175 Block Line Safety Champion. I worked on multiple value streams and on a multitude of different operations. I was deemed a floater on the line due to being extremely versatile and having a passion to learn. Day to day tasks included production goals, quality goals, housekeeping, transporting material, while doing Safety Audits to reduce RIFs.

In this role I problem solved a multitude of tasks within the facility. Some of the day to day tasks included pulling wires/cables, desk/computer/cable installations, painting, etc. Building's A and B were also being remodeled and modernized. I was apart of the crew that prepped and shuttled out old office hardware and brought in/setup new office hardware.

Tasked with learning machines on the Crank Line, helping to improve processes, and training new machinists. Ran Op 90 & ran Op 145 while working with manufacturing engineering to come up with more efficient ways to improve crank setups. During this time I was able to find a defect on crank pads where they were machined wrong. This helped lead to a very quick isolation and solution for the defect. I was also able to successfully train multiple machinists on those Ops with all of them being able to get hired onto CAT.

Summer position as a team-leader in the maintenance department which helped develop leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Responsible for multiple workers and properties while doing preventative maintenance, electrical work, handywork, with little operational oversight.

This summer job with Caterpillar gave me exposure to a manufacturing facility, tasked with multiple projects in distribution. I was able to help come up with a more efficient way to organize material on the South Pad, while prioritizing safety. I was also able to organize shelves of rough and finish material near the West Dock which made processes more efficient and effective. This helped create a workplace environment where PQVC was prioritized.
