Part of the team that manages the installation of the DISA JRSS contract; a large-scale network deployment that spans over 20 locations around the world. I ensure productivity with the installation team, as well as maintain quality and inspections before passing on to the government client. Assist engineering team with design changes, documentation writing of TSIP’s, connectivity tables, rack elevations, completion reports and other various needed documentation for this project. Assists the Logistics department in maintaining accurate Bill of Materials lists, and coordinates with on-site personnel on material shortages and supplements. Closes sites with a specialized team to ensure site is installed within DISA standards, and assists the network engineering team with configurations and trouble shooting. Regulates installation schedule and documents progress on a per-site basis to update government customer. Researches and initiates solutions to material issues and coordinates their acquisition. Advises senior management on employee additions and installation team structuring as well as training personnel on installation procedures. For my responsibilities as a Network systems Engineer Lead: Provides expert level technical engineering assistance to all phases of network development, operation and management. Monitors network topologies; develops and evaluates alternative utilization or configuration options. Conducts network performance and trend analysis to include individual circuit availability rates. Develops processes and programs to enhance network performance and reliability. Conducts network testing, supervises technology insertion, and evaluates developmental software applications. Provides functional guidance, supervision, technical support, training and quality assurance/quality control to Associate and Intermediate personnel. Supports senior staff as required and ensures customer requirements and project milestones are met.
