Building Maintenance Engineer
•Install and Maintain RFID system hardware/software setup and integration.•Maintain school buildings and grounds in top condition.•Promote the safety, health, and comfort of students and employees in school buildingsand grounds.•Conduct detailed inspections of buildings and grounds, and establish maintenance andrepair schedules for district facilities.•Plan and oversee all maintenance and repair work.•Arrange for the services of outside contractors as needed.•Arrange for substitute custodial services as needed.•Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance andrepair projects.•Order and maintain suitable supplies, tools, and equipment for all district facilities andproperty.•Assist in the selection, assignment, scheduling, training, and evaluation of custodial staff.•Select, assign, schedule, train and evaluate maintenance and ground staff.•Regulate heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperaturesappropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.•Monitor the time records of custodial, maintenance and grounds staff, and certify salarypayments of maintenance and ground staff.•Ensure that all activities conform to government regulations protecting the health, safety,and rights of employees and the public (including but not limited to asbestos, hazardouschemicals, access to buildings by the handicapped, and playground safety).•See that district policies are observed during all activities.•Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques.•Adhere to all district health and safety policies, including all precautions of theBloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
