• Led a team of 50 permanent staff, 80 casual staff, 50 elected student representatives and 2000+ volunteers to deliver a broad range of services and advocacy for the University of Melbourne’s 50,000 students.• Managed the UMSU Management Team and provided strategic guidance, mentoring, and support to the President and Students’ Council (UMSU Board) to ensure the successful delivery and management of UMSU’s services, student representative, and student engagement activities.• Provided strategic leadership including development of the Management Strategic Plan and annual budget and forecasting.• Oversaw all operational activities of the organisation including policy and planning, finance, human and physical resources, student engagement, services, communications, marketing, occupational health & safety, and risk management.• Managed UMSU’s commercial operations including bar, venue hire, AV and event logistics and sponsorship.

• Project managed several key areas identified as problematic in the review of the student lifecycle, including the online enrolment process and interface, the special consideration process, and student participation in university governance.• Reviewed university communications and identified opportunities for enhancing student engagement.• Undertook research and benchmarking and consulted extensively with student representatives, focus groups and university stakeholders to obtain input into revised processes and communications.• Drafted reports, presentations and recommendations on behalf of the Academic Registrar.
