Throughout my time as CTO of Vital4, my main focus was around crafting a cloud scalable and highly available product that is cost-effective. Collaborating closely with an exceptional development team, I firmly believe in hands-on expertise as it allows me to pinpoint bottlenecks, identify scalability-risks, optimize efficiency, and improve code quality.Working closely with clients, I introduced new technical solutions that benefitted both the client and the product. These solutions have been fully documented and illustrated with diagrams, both high-level and technical, to ensure clear understanding of implementations across all business sectors.I streamlined processes by embracing simplicity and took the initiative to introduce innovative ideas, ensuring we stay up to date with the capabilities of technology.

EBO reduces operational costs associated with customer service and offers new engagement possibilities to companies. With an award-winning custom-built dialogue designer, EBO brings the complexity of cognitive services to the market through a simple interface and a team of passionate digital consultants.For this role, I relocated to Malta. As ebo was just starting, we converted an initial proof of concept and idea into a full featured product. At the beginning my focus was development and architecture, trying to ship a minimum viable product as soon as possible. As the team grew, I moved into a team leader role where I guide new developers implementing new features. Leadership currently includes (but not limited to), code reviews, architectural guidance, knowledge transfer, people management and recruitment. With the time that is left, I discuss technical challenges with clients and contribute to our codebase.

I have been working for Codit for more than 8 years and in that time have become a valuable part of the Codit Products team. I am partially responsible for the internal and external UX (user experience) and quality of the Codit Products.We try to achieve this by setting up and rigorously paying attention to detail and to our best practices, code reusability and quality assurance. We also feel knowledge sharing is key to success!In the last couple of years, I have been evolving from server-side to client-side web development. Earlier I have been knees-deep into Silverlight development, but now I can freely outdo myself in AngularJS every day. An evolution that was necessary and made possible by both Codit and my own dedication, hard work and training courses.Due to the constant movement and change of dynamics within IT and Codit, I keep finding the challenges I need to be on the edge of technology. Several edges actually, both on Microsoft Azure and web development (.NET and JavaScript) to name only a few.
