-Developed a diamond optomechanical platform for strain-coupling embedded defect centers to highly coherent mechanical resonators for applications in quantum communication-Constructed an integrated confocal optical microscope and fiber-based optomechanical measurement setup for simultaneous measurement and control of defect centers in diamond and diamond optomechanical crystals inside a closed-cycle cryostat-Modeled the optical and mechanical properties and optomechanical coupling of diamond optomechanical crystals in COMSOL, with an emphasis on modelling and optimizing the strain-profile of the mechanical resonance for coupling to nitrogen- and silicon-vacancy centers-Developed a diamond-on-insulator fabrication technique for fabricating high-quality diamond optomechanical devices out of ultra-thin diamond membranes-Implemented a calibrated optomechanical thermometry setup for measuring the temperature of the mechanical motion of diamond optomechanical crystal-Mentored multiple undergraduate students, helping to develop and manage their projects in support of the overall project-Currently designing and constructing a confocal optical microscope and fiber-based optomechanical measurement setup inside a closed-cycle, optical-access dilution refrigerator

-Developed a hybrid circuit quantum electrodynamics architecture for coupling electrons in gate-defined quantum dots in silicon to superconducting microwave resonators- Created a fabrication procedure for niobium superconducting resonators that protected a 2D electron gas in the substrate-Fabricated resonators and accompanying quantum dot gates on Si/SiGe heterostructures to study resonator quality factor-limiting mechanisms in such architectures-Simulated resonator and quantum dot architectures in ANSYS Maxwell and Sonnet -Designed, fabricated, and characterized on-chip microwave filters to prevent loss through parasitic coupling between the resonator and quantum dot gates-Constructed a probe for characterizing resonators and quantum dots in liquid helium, aided in implementing measurement electronics in a dilution refrigerator
