 Drive end to end process for assigned project, for example the laptop hinge and foldable mid-frame. Review and develop part/sub-assembly process flow, including process/tooling concept and DFM; Provide design feedback and recommendations including features and tolerance; Drive technical issue resolution at suppliers throughout the development cycle.

 Involve in the product design process through DFM input in components, especially leading the Aluminum stamping/forging/extrusion/draw process. Work with suppliers to develop new tooling, processing and quality specifications to meet product requirements; Lead and direct suppliers in the design and build stamping tooling to assure meeting project and part requirements;

 Work with the supplier, design the tooling, conditioning the tooling, check the first samples, and certificate the tooling. Make the tooling qualification report and transfer the tooling to the manufacturing factory. Help the product time to volume; Responsible for study TE US tooling specification and follow it in China. So that we can make the same tooling for the company for TE Chinese plants; Monitor the process of purchasing activities for cost control; Drive the continuous improvements of the suppliers for better cost control; Source, support and localize the parts to qualified vendors for better supply.

Kunshan

 Tooling design review. New metal and plastic part tooling design. Follow the tooling project schedule, prepare PFMEA and competitor SWOT analyze, production condition standard execution. Responsible for performance review of subordinate. Direct the tool assembly and debugging, critical dimension CPK validation. Change the design of the tooling for customer when customer needed, follow on the mass production and trouble shooting. New tooling technology research & develop, technology innovation base on the company product roadmap. Utilize the new technology on existing and new tooling.  Coach undergraduate students who just join the company. New tooling development team building. Serve the whole product development team for the company.  Responsible for production efficiency promoting and bring in or develop the relevant new technology.
