Primary developer for the company's proprietary batch program application. This application (the NPF) processes billions of dollars worth of insurance claims information annually. The NPF is a Java based application and runs on Unix Servers. The NPF makes use of a variety of Java SE APIs such as Remote Method Invocation (RMI), Concurrency, Thread-Processing, and involves the use of heavy duty stored procedures and functions maintained on an Oracle 11g database. The NPF also uses Spring, but minimal use is made of Hibernate. This may change at some point in the future. We also utilize Maven for building and deploying code between environments. I occasionally do Java EE based work using JSP, Servlets, Spring, Struts and Oracle 11g, but my primary focus is Java SE using concurrency, thread processing, RMI, JDBC, etc. I have also gained experience in writing Korn Shell Scripts to assist in the deployment and modification of Java code as well as to validate and process files.
