I chose the accounting field because accountants perform analyses, which provide management with better information to make informed decisions. Accounting tells the story of the company's history and helps identify company strengths. Processes, including trend analysis, can identify areas that need further investigation. For instance, if expenses have increased, it is important to determine if it is an anomaly or if it indicates a problem that needs attention. Conversely, if profits have increased, understanding the cause might identify an opportunity to take advantage of.I identify relevant information, with a focus on numerical information, and ensure that it is accurately recorded in the correct locations. I locate, investigate, and rectify discrepancies. I apply accounting principles and my sense of integrity to produce results. I create meaningful reports and communicate results to facilitate better decisions and to help clients.
