Directly assisting trans and gender expansive clients with their transition. In this role, I connect clients to gender affirming medical care, provide guidance with legal name and gender marker change process, and more.

In these roles, I worked in faculty-led, cross-listed courses in the African and African American Studies, Asian Pacific American Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies programs grading students on coursework and assisting faculty with administrative tasks.

For 51 years, The Association of African American Students has served to educate our communities through providing space, resources, and programs that centers Blackness and challenges social exclusion and oppression. We seek to empower those in our communities’ through the exploration of Blackness and/at its intersections. To achieve these aims and ensure our communities’ safety, we will execute strategic responses to end discriminatory acts against all Black people. As President, I oversee all administrative actions of AAAS, serve as the spokesperson for AAAS, and am responsible for cultivating a sense of inclusion and safety among all black students on campus. I also previously served as Secretary of AAAS.

-Curated events and programming for DePauw's LGBTQIA+ Community-Researched, created, and implemented a Trans-Inclusive Training, (which aimed to educate DePauw Students, Faculty, and Staff that centers the lives and needs of trans-folk on and off DePauw's campus)-Administrative work, research assignments, reception responsibilities, and general maintenance

As a freshman, I was elected to serve as a First-Year Senator; which included being a spokesperson for the first year class to student government and administration and creating policy for the betterment of the DePauw community. Most recently, I was served as VP of Community Relations. In the role, I was a liaison between DePauw Students and the administration, specifically marginalized groups in the DePauw community. This role focused on town gown relations, responding to hate crimes on and around campus, and serving on the Diversity and Equity Faculty committee.

The creation of Queer Students of Color came from the exclusion of queer people of color from a larger LGBTQIA+ organization on campus. A group of queer people of color created QSOC to serve as a social and educational group for queer identifying people of color At DePauw. We pride ourselves on creating a safe space for queer identifying people of color amidst the climate at DePauw. We host annual events (DePride, Drag Ball, etc), sexual health workshops, and collaborate with other student organizations.

This research project was led by a group of four students and advised by two faculty members in Political Science and Africana Studies. We conducted research to examine the rise of racially resentful attitudes among college students at a Midwestern Liberal Arts Institution. The project was framed by the Michael Tesler's Spillover Effect Theory and the rise in hate crimes and racial tension on campus. The research found from the Midwestern Liberal Arts Institution was connected to the research conducted in South Africa on racially resentful attitudes. The findings were presented at the 2018 National Conference of Black Political Scientists in Chicago, IL.
