Working towards support families through their grief process, understanding how to manage the difference and the absence of that special person they may have lost and helping them understand then how to make sense of their world after the traumatic event. Running workshops for children and their families and working with young people to broach the subject of those they have lost and open up a dialogue that will aid their understanding of themselves within context of the loss, grief and traumatic experience.

The role was challenging yet very rewarding, it was organising the art departments, syllabus, exam, preparation across all year groups and working towards the students' gaining qualifications in the area of the study. I organised the pre & post development checks with them gaining a qualification in BTEC & GCSE Art & Design; I did this through the process of planned themes,building then a portfolio of work to develop and progress towards achieving a qualification that will allow the individuals to build confidence, explore their unique creativity and analytical and problems solving skills and their ability to draw, mark make and apply techniques to their individual approach to their choice of study and be guided towards a final outcome. This was a successful position and one that I learnt so much not only about myself as an individual but as a practitioner working with those with determination, social, economic, and environmental 'differences'.
