working as Manager – Shift Operations at M/s Paradip International Cargo Terminal Pvt Ltd Group of M/s J.M.Baxi , Paradip Paradip International Cargo Terminal Pvt. Ltd. (PICT) is multipurpose berth to handle clean cargo including containers at Paradip WORK ROLE: SHIFT MANAGER – OPERATIONS Co-ordinate with Terminal Head & GM (Operations) of all Terminal including Rail & Ware house operations of Dry Bulk, Break Bulk Cargo and Container vessels handled in this Terminal, responsible for smooth loading /unloading/ stacking bulk cargo dry bulk / clean cargoes without incurring any demurrage, with minimum operational cost per metric ton and minimum handling loss without any quality problem Involved in optimization of vessel discharge and loading rate within scheduled period and monitoring of various factors taken in account. Interaction with Master/Chief officer during cargo operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - • This position reports directly to HOD (presently AGM operations). • Cargo Documentation monitoring with agents, shippers, receivers, etc. • All Dry bulk/ Break bulk/ Container Cargo Vessels Berth planning and Loading/Discharging of cargo from the vessel and to storage the same properly and as per client’s requirement dispatch the same thru Road/rail operations as rake placement, loading/unloading of cargo. • Follow the loading /discharging sequence at all times for smooth operation. • Space management, Warehousing, back up operations day to day operational planning in yard. • Prepare/implement vessel operation plan along with contractor and vessel. • Cargo reconciliation on a daily basis, ship to ship basis, • Specialize in Steel Operation includes receiving of Steel cargo from vessel, storage and by road dispatches • Cost effective Operational planning, controlling &monitoring, Plot allocation, cargo reconciliation and all. • Equipment planning and deployment for efficient and cost-effective operation • Implement /follow all safety regulation
